Actually I wanted to wait for the second half of the first season, but patience is not my strength. At first I was a bit skeptical, the first pictures from the set were not very promising and even after watching the first episodes I am quite disappointed of the appearance of the Klingons and hope for a damn good explanation. This ends the negative criticism, surprisingly I am very excited. Anyone who names a ship USS Shran has already convinced me, a big fan of the Andorians. Generally, the many little eastereggs are very adorable. The story is surprising, I did not expect many of the twists and the mood reminds me of war episodes of DS9.
